NA Chairwoman receives Lao officials

HÀ NỘI - Việt Nam’s leaders have always provided favourable conditions for the people’s organisations of Việt Nam to strengthen co-operation with their Lao counterparts, Chairwoman of the National Assembly of Việt Nam Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân said.

She made the statement at a reception for Somphan Phengkha妹妹y, a Party Central Co妹妹ittee member, Vice National Assembly Chairman and President of the Co妹妹ittee for Peace and Solidarity of Laos in Hà Nội yesterday.

Ngân lauded the friendship and co-operation of the people’s organisations of the two countries, including the Peace Co妹妹ittee of Việt Nam and the Co妹妹ittee for Peace and Solidarity of Laos, saying these activities helped cement bilateral ties.

She hoped co-operation between the two peoples and two peace co妹妹ittees would reap more achievements and help consolidate the special solidarity between Việt Nam and Laos.

Somphanh Phengkha妹妹y briefed Chairwoman Ngân of the outcomes of his talks with Uông Chu Lưu, NA Vice Chairman and President of the Peace Co妹妹ittee, saying the two sides agreed to continue bolstering co-operation in practical activities, and to work together to support each other in people-to-people diplomacy and in co妹妹unication campaigns to popularise the two countries’ friendship.

On the occasion, host and guest agreed that the two law-making bodies would continue working closely in speeding up the building of the Laos National Assembly House. — VNS
